Plural Possessives

복수형의 소유를 나타내기 위해서 쓰는 apostrophe는  복수형 단어의 끝에 s가 있는 경우에 한해 끝에 s를 붙임 없이 apostrophe만 붙인다.
ex) girls' notes.
이에 해당하지 않는 경우는 끝에 s를 붙인다.
ex) men's suits.

Apostrophes with Possessives of More than One Owner
소유 하는 것이 공유되는 것일 경우에는, 소유자들을 열거할 때 마지막 소유자 이름의 끝에 's 를 쓴다.
그러나 실제로 공유가 아닌 것에는 각 소유자들마다  's 를 붙인다.

ex) Tom and Bill's pet dog ( 애완견을 공유) 
     John's and Mary's pet cats. (각자 애완 고양이를 가짐)


Apostrophes with Italicized or Underlined Items
기호 숫자 문자 단어가 그 자체로 쓰이는 경우 기울임 표시 혹은 밑줄 표시가 된다.
이들의 복수형을 표시하고 싶을 때는 

apostrophe s ('s)를 붙이거나
s만 붙인다.
